Diamond Club Dinner / Silent Auction a Huge Success

Over 140 people attended the Dinner and Silent Auction at Kozlak's Sunday night.  Athletic Director Bob Madison spoke about the tremendous strength and support that exists in the Mounds View community, and Coach Downey spoke about some of his goals and the importance of building on the Mustang pride that currently exists at Mounds View High School.  Twins Broadcaster John Gordon then entertained people with stories and answered questions from those in attendance.  Event Committee Chairman Randy Reichert stated that he hoped this year's success could be a springboard for this becoming an annual event.

Cub Foods Fundraising Event Successful

The efforts of 29 baseball players and several parents resulted in a very successful fundraising effort Saturday at the Cub Foods in Arden Hills.  "We far exceeded our expectations," said event coordinator Randy Reichert.  The players bagged customer groceries, and even braved the sub-zero temperatures to assist some shoppers with loading groceries into their vehicles.  "I was very impressed with how eager the players were; they did not sit back and wait to be asked to help; they worked very hard," said Coach Downey.  "The players represented Mounds View Baseball and themselves extremely well."

Diamond Club Begins plans for 2006/2007 Season

The Mounds View High School Baseball Booster Club (Diamond Club) conducted it's first meeting of the new year.

The Diamond Club exists as an organization of parents and community persons dedicated to supporting, encouraging and advancing the Mounds View High School Baseball Program and all the benefits the baseball program provides for the students of Mounds View High School.

This is accomplished in part by providing financial assistance and volunteer support.

The Diamond Club is purely a volunteer organization run by Mounds View High School parents.

The Diamond Club will strive to balance the need to support enhancing the baseball program for the long-term as well as meeting the immediate needs of the current season.

The Club shall not seek to influence or direct the technical activities or policies of the school administration or of the school officials who are charged with the responsibility of conducting the Mounds View High School Athletic Program.  The Club will function within the framework, policies and rules of the overall Mounds View High School Athletic philosophy and policies, and those of the Minnesota State High School League.
