Members present:  Mark Anderson, Julie Becker, Tom Douvier, Coach Downey, Jessica Hagemann, Rick Hanson, Jim Hoyme, Jeff Kohen, Joe Salvatori, Julie Salvatori, Jack Smestad, Dion Wikstrom, and Janet Wilson

The meeting was called to order by Mark Anderson at 7:02.

Minutes from the May meeting:

A motion was made by Julie Becker to approve the May minutes. The motion was seconded by Judy Vijums. All were in favor; the motion carried.

Treasurer's Report - Jim Hoyme

v     Balance is $6,700 after we make the $8,000 donation to the new field. This $8,000 will be matched again this year by our anonymous donor.

v     It was questioned if the correct amount for the banquet was expensed. Jim explained how he expensed the cost. Jim is still waiting on receipts from the banquet - please get these to Jim so he can reimburse you.

May Banquet Feedback

v     Mark thanked all who assisted with the banquet

v     Service was faster at Jimmy's - there should have been four lines at Manitou Station

v     More room at Jimmy's

v     Setting was better at Manitou Station - fancier than Jimmy's

v     North Oaks and Moe's were discussed

v     If we feel we'll go over 165, we'll need a large facility next year

v     It was discussed having the plates served through a caterer vs a buffet

v     Several recommended Jimmy's. 10 of the 13 voted for Jimmy's

v     Sunday night is preferred. Coach Downey will determine the date for next year so we can get Jimmy's reserved. Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 5:30 at Jimmy's will be planned.

v     Diamond Club did a fabulous job raising funds

v     No Lion's all-star players this year

v     Bleachers are up - the green looks great

v     The flag is available for all games - feel free to put it up

v     Foul balls still being tracked - no recent complaints from the neighbors

v     Alumni game is this weekend - 28 have signed up - 1:00 on Sunday

2010-11 Diamond Club Officers/Positions proposed:

v     Mark Anderson - President

v     Rick Hansen - Vice President

v     Jessica Hagemann - Secretary

v     Jim Hoyme - Treasurer

The roles of the officers were discussed; it was mentioned that these roles volunteer in many other areas as well throughout the year.

Joe Salvatori made a motion to accept these officers; seconded by Dion Wikstrom. All in favor; motion carried.

2010-11 Activity Coordinator Positions - Mark Anderson

v     Joe Salvatori will be the coordinator for Captain's practices

v     Other open positions were listed in the Activity Coordinator attachment from Mark Anderson

v     One last reminder will be sent out to see if there are any further orders.

v     Order forms will be brought to the alumni game on Sunday

v     It was suggested to notify the incoming freshman; Coach has some of those emails from the camp sign-ups

Bricks Update - Tom Douvier

v     7 bricks sold - a final email will be sent out for any last minute orders

v     Dion will dig up the total bricks to be engraved once the number is finalized. It was agreed that those that ordered their bricks would like them in place this summer

Banner Update - Julie Salvatori

v     TCF�s banner is up. The Green Mill is working on their art work; the contract has been signed.

v     Scott Becker was working on DQ and Kozlak's. Julie Becker will check with Scott on the status.

v     It was suggested to talk to McDonalds and Flaherty's.

Field Fundraising Committee update - Randy Reichert/Mark Anderson

v     Netting/Foul Balls

v     Netting for the inside batting cage will be installed

v     Bleachers installed

v     Flagpole installed

v     Batting cages - the base will be dug out and concrete will be poured

v     Scoreboard - making the decision on where to install the permanent scoreboard. Left field foul line has been discussed but the dugout blocks it for those in the bleachers. The first base line is still an option as well.

v     It was discussed purchasing new uniforms for the Varsity. It would be between $2,000 and $4,000. The group talked about allowing the seniors to purchase their jersey. We will revisit this topic in the fall and make a motion then.

Other Business

v     Motion to offer $7,000 speaker fee for Harmon Killebrew (past has been $3,000). It was suggested to sell the seats at Harmon's table at the banquet for high dollars to make up some of the increase in fees.

v     A motion was made by Jim Hoyme and seconded by Julie Becker to offer $7,000 for Harmon Killebrew, if we are able to pre-sell the table with Harmon at the banquet and a lunch at a later date with Harmon, to be auctioned off at the banquet.

v     Saturday, January 29, 2011 is the chosen date; Sunday the 30^th is the backup.

Summer Meeting - January 2011 Banquet Planning Meeting - Tuesday, August 17^th at 7:00 pm - Location TBD

First 2010-2011 Diamond Club Meeting - Tuesday, September 7^th at 7:00 pm in the Forum

Joe Salvatori made a motion to adjourn; seconded my Dion Wikstrom. The meeting was adjourned at 8:15.
